Q. When will the gym be re-opening?
A. We will be fully reopening, back to our normal opening hours on Monday 12th April 2021 at 6am.
Q. Am I still paying my Direct Debit?
A. All direct debit memberships were frozen as soon as the gym was forced to close. Memberships will be unfrozen when we re-open and your direct debit will begin again in line with the same payment date that you had before lockdown. You should have had 3 months off in total over the 2021 lockdown. If this is not the case, please speak to a member of staff.
Q. What happens to my membership if I paid in advance?
A. All accounts were frozen on the 5th of January and any remaining time will continue from the 12th of April, unless requested otherwise.
Q. I cancelled my Direct Debit, what will happen to my membership?
A. If you are out of contract and have cancelled your Direct Debit there will be no consequences, if you wish to return when we re-open you will simply need to speak to a member of staff who will be able to reinstate your Direct Debit. If you are still under contract and have cancelled, you will need to speak to a member of staff as soon as we re-open to avoid any charges.
Q. Will I have to book my workout?
No, we trialled a booking system but found we were well under capacity, and therefore, you will be able to turn up and train when you please. We will be monitoring this situation and will reintroduce a booking system if necessary.
Q. Will there be social distancing measures in place?
A. Yes, we have introduced lots of measures to ensure social distancing is adhered to. There are floor markings to denote ample distance around each piece of equipment when it is in use. Some machines that are too close together will be operating at a one machine at a time system and some machines will unfortunately be out of use where social distancing cant be met.
Q. Will classes still be running?
A. Unfortunately, group exercise cannot take place until the 17th of May. We have put together a temporary class timetable of classes that will be conducted over Zoom meetings. If you are to book onto our classes, you will be sent a link to the class via email near to the class start time so you can take part at home. Alternatively, we have virtual classes that you can request and follow in our studio whilst using the gym. Providing the government roadmap continues on course, our class timetable will resume on the 17th of May and we will update on our website and social media.
Q. Are there extra cleaning measures in place?
A. Yes, we have introduced a number of new cleaning measures to help make the gym a covid secure environment. There is now blue roll holders and antibacterial spray in each room for you to wipe down equipment before and after use. We also have 5 hand sanitiser stations spread around the gym so users can regularly sanitise. We have vastly increased our cleaning schedules to make sure everything is cleaned multiple times a day. If you have any concerns with the cleanliness of the gym, please inform a member of staff.
